Microphone Locker

Choose the "right" microphone, find the "right" mic placement, route it through the "right" mic preamp and finally, to premium quality A/D conversion... and you have laid the cornerstone on which to build the great sounds you want for your music.

Of course "right" is a subjective choice. By our definition, "right" is whatever sounds right and whatever best serves the music.

No matter if it's a human voice, drums, guitar amp, saxophone, trumpet, flute, violin, or any other instrument you can think of, our goal is to get the desired sound at the front end of the signal chain, before it hits the A/D (Analog to Digital) converters. The key? Choosing the microphone / preamp combination that imparts the sonic character we're looking for.

At NRP, our mic locker is stocked with over 55 great microphones- each with it's own distinctive way of capturing sound. In the hands of a skilled engineer, they become like the colors on an artist's palette, applied to paint a specific sonic picture.
